Press X for Air Tricks in Web Rush. The official description confirms the action and PC input but does not publish the complete trick list, directional variants, cash reward, speed gain, or failure conditions. Use tricks after the travel route is safe and separate visual style from any effect you have not reproduced.
Create safe height first
Start with a familiar swing route and release into open air. Keep the next street, building, or landing zone visible. Press X once and let the animation resolve enough to understand the result. Do not begin by repeating X near a roof or street.
If the character is not clearly airborne, gain height before testing again. The public input list labels the action Air Tricks, so ground behavior should not be assumed from a missed input.
Use one trick at a time
Hold movement and camera conditions as steady as possible. Press X once, observe orientation and recovery, then land or continue the route. Only add another input after you know how much height and time the first action used.
Directional inputs may change the animation in the current build, but no complete official list was accepted. Record a variant only after it repeats with the same input and version. Do not name it from appearance unless the game supplies the name.
Preserve the landing route
Air Tricks are not useful when they hide the next anchor and produce a collision. Keep the camera facing travel, and leave enough height for Web Zip, swing, point zip, or a safe landing. Use C Dive only after selecting where to descend.
If a trick rotates the character or camera unexpectedly, stop adding actions and restore the route. Practice the same input in a higher, wider area.
Air Trick practice cards
Single action
Gain height, press X once, and observe animation, direction, recovery, and landing.
After swing release
Use one trick only after the next lane remains visible, then choose the following anchor.
Before Web Zip
Confirm enough air and route clarity remain before pressing Space.
Before Dive
Select a safe street or roof, then use C; do not assume the trick protects the descent.
Do tricks award cash?
The official description says swinging awards cash and separately lists Air Tricks. It does not explicitly say that a trick itself adds cash or changes the rate. Check the visible balance around a clean route with and without the same X input before making that claim.
Keep missions and combat out of the test, because another reward can change the balance. Repeat more than once and record the version. If no consistent difference appears, treat tricks as style and route expression.
Do tricks increase speed?
No public official speed effect is documented. Compare the same start, swing release, route, and destination with the same suit, abilities, and Web Wings state. A route can look faster because the animation changes or the camera moves.
Use several clean runs. If the result is not consistent, do not rank tricks by speed. The Swinging Guide explains route controls, while Web Zip covers the separate airborne Space action.
Combine tricks with Web Zip
Press X only when enough air remains, then wait until the route is readable before Space. Web Zip should be a deliberate travel decision, not an automatic cancel whose window has not been documented. If the two inputs conflict, separate them and identify which action completed.
When low, skip the trick and use the recovery action you can see. Consistency matters more than fitting an extra animation into every swing.
Avoid combat assumptions
The official page does not state that Air Tricks damage thugs, evade attacks, or grant invulnerability. Do not drop into a group and rely on the animation for safety. Finish the route at the encounter edge, reacquire the camera, and use normal attack and dodge controls.
If the current build visibly creates a combat effect, record the exact setup and repeat it before adding advice. An isolated clip is not a universal rule.
Troubleshooting
Record a verified trick list
A useful row needs the displayed name if any, exact input including direction, starting state, animation result, route effect, cash result, version, and check date. Unknown names remain descriptive rather than invented. A list is “currently documented” until the current interface proves it complete.
